Pre-Filters: On Well Water? High Iron?
Starting with Clean water the water used to fill a spa is not as pure as you may like to think. There are impurities such as, copper, iron, calcium and other deposits that can be harmful to yourself, your family and your spa.
Some of these deposits can seriously affect your equipment (usually the heater element). Using clarifiers, coagulants, flocculants and, stain and scale preventers will reduce these impurities, but will not eliminate the problem. You can reduce the total dissolved solids (TDS) problem and increase the life & quality of your spa water.
The Micron, ZPF, and Carbon Block Pre-Filters allow the consumer to enjoy a spa using water with filtration down to 0.5 micron. The human eye can detect to 40 microns. Blood cells are approximately 2 microns. Our pre filter allows the main filter to operate longer and with greater results. Attach the Pre-Filter on the end of a regular garden hose and begin the fill. Easy!
